What We Do.
At Gadseek, we partner with Brands, Creative Agencies, and Production Companies to provide Business Affairs expertise to ensure a smooth production from conception to finished asset. We pride ourselves in connecting the dots between the initial Creative Review to the final finished edit. Production is an ever-changing landscape and one in which we look to always keep our ears to the ground in an effort to understand the trends that help us improve upon our processes as well as avoid roadblocks that impede creativity.
Creative Development
Review scripts and creative decks for talent, 3rd party, IP, and any other potential watch-outs. We work with producers and cost consultants on prepping Production Bid Specs and creating production cost estimates. We’ll advise on all SAG-AFTRA talent sessions and residuals estimates, including current trends for Non-Union and International Talent.
Pre-Production
Attend pre-bid, pre-pro meetings, and any other meetings required throughout the production. Review bids, Issue purchase orders and production contracts for shoots, edit, post, music, color, etc…Prep casting specs and manage all things talent prior to shoot/record, for SAG-AFTRA and Non-Union productions. Negotiate with influencer and celebrity talent as required for project. Coordinate all required insurance needs throughout production process. Highlight and assist with any network pre-clearance required in the US and Canada.
Shoot
We can attend shoots and advise on all general Business Affairs matters, such as props, artwork, and wardrobe. Manage all collection of Talent contracts, Wage Theft Prevention Forms, and all Tax/IRS documents. We can be the primary liaison between any celebrity/influencer talent before, during, and after the shoot.
Post-Production
Work with your payroll provider and process all talent payments including sessions and residuals. Handle any communication with agents, talent, and or any SAG Signatory reps on any claims or disputes made by all parties.
Research, negotiate, and clear 3rd party IP as required, (still imagery, music, names, logos, props, wardrobe, etc…). Manage renewals and renegotiation of talent, music, and any other expiring rights. Coordinate Network on all required Broadcast Clearance including generating Ad-IDs or any other asset identification processes.
Finance / Wrap – Up
We can help vetting and entering new vendors in your preferred Finance system (Netsuite, SAP, Aqua, among others). Process and track all vendor invoices submitted as well as monitor cashflow throughout production, including any cost changes as required by client and/or cost consultants. Prepare completion reports for all assets, inclusive of final cast, music, and all 3rd party assets.
Negotiate additional uses beyond initial scope as required.
